George founded FirstJensenGroup in 1985. Specializing as a part-time or interim CFO for his clients, he has provided financial, tax, and operational services to over 100 companies in a variety of stages (startup, growth, consolidation, and turnaround). Prior to founding FirstJensenGroup, George worked in the Entrepreneurial Services Group at Price Waterhouse, the commercial lending field, and ran a real estate acquisition and renovation business.

As a part-time or interim CFO for his clients, Jack provides financial, systems and operational consulting services to growing companies, companies filing to go public, and to troubled situations that include bankruptcy. He joined FirstJensenGroup in 1995, after spending twelve years in industry where his positions included accounting, operational, and financial systems responsibilities. Prior to working in private industry, Jack spent four years as a CPA in the Emerging Business Services Division at Coopers & Lybrand.

Jim Franey, CPA - Partner

Jim runs the FirstJensenGroup Tax Practice and provides tax planning and preparation services to Corporate and Individual clients, as well as providing tax support to all our finance personnel for their consulting engagements. Jim ran his own tax practice for 10 years prior to joining FirstJensenGroup in 1997, and also spent 10 years in industry as a Controller and Tax Manager.

Jeff provides financial, operational, and business advisory services to his clients. He has a wide range of turnaround management experience with companies in many industries and he leads the FirstJensenGroup Turnaround Management Practice. Prior to joining the firm, Jeff was a Turnaround Management Consultant for eight years, a Regional Analyst with the US Trustees Office in Boston for eight years, and spent five years as a CPA with KPMG and BDO Seidman.

Jim has significant SEC reporting experience from his tenure as a public company CFO. Prior to joining FirstJensenGroup, Jim’s experience included 9 years as the CFO for Vision-Sciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: VSCI), 13 years as VP Finance & Operations with high tech manufacturing and software firms, and 4 years with Coopers & Lybrand.
